Making friends in your 20s is hard. Making Jewish friends in your 20s? Even harder.
Chai Society is a modern Shabbat dinner and social club for Jews in their 20s in the DMV area who want real connections, an excuse to dress up, and a reason to gather together. Think tradition, but make it social. Heritage, but make it fun.
Each Shabbat dinner has 18 seats, a nod to chai, meaning life. We open the night with Havdalah, then it’s candles, wine, great food, and conversations that turn strangers into friends by dessert.
No need to know all the prayers. No pressure to celebrate every holiday. No biggie if you don't remember your Torah portion! Just show up as you are, ready to connect, laugh, and feel a little more Jewish in the best way!
Come dressed up. Come hungry. Leave with new Jewish friends and plans for next time!
